| I was born Jun. 24, 1979, in Ukraine County, Simferopol. My parents were both born in Russia. Soon after my birth I lived, in Havana, Cuba. I lived on the farm with my parents until 1984. | |||

| My favorite sports are badminton, volleyball, basketball & tennis. When I don\\\'t have anything to do, I love to surf the net, open my mail, friendster then watch anime series in crunchyroll.com. I play a lot of computer games with my friends & cousins. I can play some musical instruments like guitar, piano, flute, & lyre. When it comes to anime, I\\\'m so into it. I love watching anime series like Kyou Kara Maou, Ouran Academy, Prince of Tennis, Tsubasa, Basilisk, Saiunkoku Monogatari, Melancholy of Haruhi Surumiya, Fate Stay Night, Mushishi, Muteki Kanban, Code Geass, Naruto, Bleach, 12 kingdoms, etc.. | After completing high school, I matriculated at the University of Simferopol, majoring in mathematics for which I had a flair but no deep talent. I had not yet decided on a particular field of science. My brother, who was considerably more gifted in the abstract areas than I, was studying theoretical physics, but this did not appeal strongly to me, nor was I interested in pure chemistry. At that time biology, as taught, was largely descriptive. It was not especially appealing for one brought up on \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"real\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" science. However, during my sophomore year, my brother introduced me to a book on mathematical modeling of central nervous system circuits by a biophysicist named Rashevsky. It caught my interest and I began reading about the nervous system. There, for the first time, I found courses in cell physiology, biochemistry, and biology that interested me. | |||
